Reality Check
What is it about alternate experiences that draws us in? Do we look for relief from the current experiences we are fully immersed within and unable to escape from? Looking beyond our immediate sight, we seek and yet cannot find. Tentatively, we try each pair of shoes on to see if this is the one that will fit, only to eventually discover that all shoes merely hold the promise of protection. Protection from ourselves can never be fulfilled and remains as empty as the experiences we seek to relieve ourselves from ourselves. Looking in the mirror, we refuse to believe.
Escaping from our own clutches of desperation, we find ourselves right back where we started. Hoping against hope that this time we will have succeeded in our endeavors of fanciful flight. Exactly as we remain, we continue to see the world in all of it's enshrining wrappings. Would we have it any other way?
