Spiritual Freedom: At What Cost?
Strange as it may seem, spiritual freedom has been redefined in some quarters of the religious community. It now comes with a price tag.
Shopping for spiritual knowledge is about as ridiculous as an elephant wearing pajamas. Confusing spiritual values with the mundane world is a hard sell, but there are those who make every attempt at marketing this concept in order to 'prove' to the mundane world that statistics is what drives the spiritual realm.
Spiritually, there is no such thing as money or even the idea of 'exchange'. It is only those who have not learned this very important aspect that will drive home the point of suffering. Suffering in the requirement of enormous sums of 'donations' in order to purchase an admission ticket to the land beyond.
Spiritual concepts have been around since the beginning of time and will continue to be here until the end of time. There is no suffering required in order to acquire the wisdom within these concepts. You are already doing that. All that is required is the willingness to reach beyond what you see in front of your eyes.
Those who offer true spiritual wisdom always offer it freely. It is not a business affair and has nothing to do with anything else.
A person on the road to spiritual truth can buy, sell and trade spiritual wisdom. This imaginary person could do this because seeking spiritual enlightenment is far different from having spiritual enlightenment. If you have it, you give it freely. If you don't have it, then you will buy, sell and trade anything of value to get it. Spiritual enlightenment cannot be bought or sold as it is beyond both of these elementary concepts.
If someone offers to sell you a dream, decline gracefully. One dream is already enough. Why take on another when it is already difficult to wake from the current one.
If you are already awake, then you know that waking another is not done from within the dream, using dream material. These things may help to point the way, but can never replace the wisdom, the love and the guidance of one who is already awake.
If spiritual enlightenment is waking from the dream of reality, then the dream of reality could never be compared to reality itself. That reality is you, yourself. Immersing yourself within the dream, what will you pay to get out?
