Passing Time
There are many ways to pass time. One could wander off the path through the jungle and go 'native', exploring all the back alleys and such. That would be one way. Another way could be to 'explore' one's spirituality, just to see what one could find. In fact, there are many, many ways of simply standing by and letting time slip through the fingers, watching as the events come and go.
From start to finish, when all is said and done, nothing will have changed. You would find yourself right where you started.
Escaping time, this would not be a problem. But when time is used simply as a way of measuring one's station in life, it will be all for naught.
Sooner or later, you will have to face your burden of other times and other places, along with all the excess baggage that you have been dragging along. Pausing in one's efforts at becoming free from baggage does nothing but to delay the inevitable.
It's like trying to find spirituality in the 'freezone'. It's simply not there.
Sure, time can be passed while 'in' it, watching the experience come and go, but that is exactly what will happen. The experience of the 'freezone' will come and it will go. It will not be lasting. And the reason for this is that in the 'freezone', the discarding of one's baggage is not encouraged, but is actually discouraged.
One of the ways that it is discouraged is through the use of group 'think'. Thinking outside the boundaries of 'us' versus 'them' is strictly forbidden. You are not one of them if you don't toe the line. But this is, in fact, a good thing as it discourages those who are not interested in delaying the inevitable - becoming a Free Being.
Freedom is always gained through one's own effort. Not an effort of passing time, but of resolving time, and resolving it's effects. A Being can not be free while it is busying itself with Life's effects. It's a no-go.
The Bridge to Total Freedom lies in the direction of Freedom and the way to get there is by efforting along the lines of freedom. It's also called self-determinism. You have to want to be free come Hell or high-water. Engaging oneself in group 'think' will never, ever help you to free yourself, from yourself.
You are the Top Dog, the Head Honcho, the Big Cheese, Numero Uno; you are the one in Charge.
Isn't it about time that you acted like it?
