The Day of The Jackal
The hunt is on!
Let the game begin!
This is all old, very old news. Sometimes, it does take a while for things to show themselves, to come up out of the shadows or even out from behind the curtain. Peeky, peeky, I see you.
Life is so funny is so many ways. Lots of entertainment to be had and to participate in if one so chooses.1
I've had my bucket of popcorn, a seemingly endless supply by the way, for quite some time. Thank goodness the lawn chair has a backing upon which I can rest and relax. Somehow I have a front row seat and though at times various things escape the arena and land in my lap, it doesn't surprise me - at all. It is the way of such 'things'.
It's true, I do make my own entertainment and at times even set it in motion. My patience at times seems to run on forever2 and yet fruition is never denied.
This is not to say that I work with puppets, dancing to some imagined strings. Far from it.
In recognition that you are the same as I, thanks for playing.
Yes, indeed.
And in this universe nothing remains the same. Actually that is true for many other 'realms' as well but never mind that. Change is a requirement, not a choice3.
Luckily for me, my popcorn is perpetual.
It's true I am not a player4.

Oh great and powerful all seeing, all knowing AI, I beg you, provide me with the knowledge I so desperately seek.
"What is the meaning of the saying 'the day of the jackal'?"
"The Day of the Jackal" refers to a specific day when a professional assassin, known as the Jackal, is contracted to carry out a high-profile assassination. It symbolizes a moment of intense danger and intrigue, often associated with themes of espionage and political tension.

To mix things up, consider the idea surrounding a 'soul contract'. ↩

Yup, once again this is a good spot to leave a reminder. There is no such thing as 'time' all the while acknowledging that players do have to create it in order to exclaim "Let the games begin!". ↩

I'm stretching things here a bit but I hope that you get the gist of what I am saying. ↩

Oh boy, is that a funny one! ↩
