Falling Into Agreement

How easy it is to claim an understanding of the philosophies of Scientology and yet be completely ignorant of them at the same time. Talk about a dichotomy! These days it becomes so easy to idealize just about everything and then when it comes to practical reality a black hole suddenly develops where everything goes down the drain. This is indeed a planet where most everyone lives in their heads.

Through the use of Scientology one develops, among many other things, a practical way of life in which keen observation takes precedent over much else. One must to a very great degree be able to see or else become subject to the whims and wiles of those around us.

And it just so happens that there is a demonstrative example which shows this quite well. This involves two related messages which were posted to a freezone (not to be confused with 'Free Zone') related newsgroup. The messages are listed first with commentary to follow.

I hope the Jane Kembers, Herbie Parkhouses, David Gaimans and Mo Budlongs write their memoirs to be published after they are dead, setting the truth out for people who care to get the truth sorted out!

Well Mike McClaughry at least came forward!!!

Below is a link to an incredible interview done by Stacy Brooks with Mike McClaughry, an old GO guy from B1 in San Francisco and then USGO, unbelievable firsthand stories, highlights of the main points about old illegal GO operations.

Incredible and a must to listen to. Filmed in Feb 2000.

This should be required viewing by all ex-Sea Org members.

Yes, and now that he's been out a while, he and his wife still attack people. They've personally ruined and caused the demise of two forums.

Every now and again they post some out to get us rant here and on a.c.t.

Well at least Stacy was able to catch what he was willing to say on video, even if he is not likely to say anything further now.

I guess he is not the best poster child to stir other ex-GO members to write the truth that up till now they have been loyaly covering up for LRH.

The details all need to be summarized intelligently so future writers on Scientology get the right score on what we all seem to agree the GO was absolutely up to, as far as covering for LRH's ass, on all of LRH's orders on the illegal activities.

It is just such a missed issue, not to place blame back to LRH, squarely.

That is the issue, and LRH is the who.

He set himself up as the unquestioned leader to be followed, and no one would be doing things unless he had been the driving force behind them.

Each little indicator and moment of everyone's lives all adds up to the whole sad tragedy of following a single man whose words become unquestioned law, more a lesson in the broader phenomena of coercive and totalitarian groups.

Well, until the movement collapses, the tradition of defecting and writing and exposing the ongoing details of life in the movement will continue.

There is so much material on the bad aspects of Scientology, I so wish to thank all who have put together all the excellent sites. I've just now started watching all the great 80's and 90's TV shows!

Ok, the above two messages are reproduced here in their entirety so as to get context and full import.

There are a number of out points in these messages but we are currently looking at only one.

'Innocently' posted by "Ball of Fluff":

"Yes, and now that he's been out a while, he and his wife still attack people. They've personally ruined and caused the demise of two forums.

and 'innocently' followed up by Chuck Beatty:

"Well at least Stacy was able to catch what he was willing to say on video, even if he is not likely to say anything further now.

I guess he is not the best poster child to stir other ex-GO members to write the truth that up till now they have been loyaly covering up for LRH."

This bears repeating: "WELL AT LEAST..."

Yes, you heard that right, "Well, at least...". Here Chuck, who according to his web site has "27 years Sea Org", states that he ACKNOWLEDGES and AGREES with the secretive "Ball of Fluff" : the McClaughrys have attacked people and have ruined and caused the demise of two forums. Further, Chuck ACKNOWLEDGES and AGRESS with the anonymous "Ball of Fluff" that the McClaughrys rant and rave on two newsgroups.

This is spelled out quite clearly here. Chuck knows what "Ball of Fluff" has written to be true and correct.

A Scientologist with full understanding simply cannot agree with a lie. They simply can not because it would go completely against their own ethics as a spiritual being. Chuck went into agreement with "Ball of Fluff" on this matter and therefore became prejudiced against the McClaughrys. He now has, through his own free will, declared the McClaughys to be counter-intentioned to that of his own, and others.

But let's look at the facts here which Chuck has taken as truth.

According to "Ball of Fluff":

  1. ...he and his wife still attack people. They've personally ruined and caused the demise of two forums.
  2. Every now and again they post some out to get us rant here and on a.c.t.

Obviously "Ball of Fluff" has deemed both Mike and Virginia McClaughry to be enemies of state. And of course it is no secret that when one is an enemy of state one is castigated through generalities and innuendos. Oh, it just so happens that this exact same methodology is used by, ahem... suppressives. But we are not adressing that topic at the moment.

An ethical Scientologist, or in other words a real Scientologist, is one who asks direct questions and likewise responds directfully and truthfully. This directness may be understandably intimidating to those who are spiritually asleep at the wheel, but truthfullness requires not just direct answers but an invitation to dive into one's self for answers on a spiritual level. One cannot spiritually free others but one can help to point the way. The rest is up to each individual.

If "Ball of Fluff" feels that the McClaughrys 'still' attack people then their view obviously originates at ground zero. If "Ball of Fluff" had concrete evidence of this would they not share it? Any sane person would in order to warn another and to keep them out of harms way. But "Ball of Fluff" has no specifics other than his own opinion. "Ball of Fluff" is no Scientologist and since Chuck has fallen into agreement with "Ball of Fluff", Chuck is no Scientologist. One would think that Chuck would know better but alas, Scientology, as a religion, has come very far and wide of it's mark and the 'official' keepers of the records have made it so.

"Ball of Fluff", and Chuck, have also stated, as fact, that the McClaughrys have destroyed two forums. Of course the specifics are completely missing. There is good reason for that. There are no specifics. Mike and Virginia McClaughry have not destroyed, ruined nor caused the demise of ANY forums. I challenge anyone to prove otherwise. Yes, guilt must be proven and opinions mean squat.

Lastly "Ball of Fluff", and Chuck, declare that the McClaughrys post rants on the two 'freezone' newsgroups. This is just another OPINION interlaced with the LIES previously described so as to give them credence. Everyone has a right to their opinion but presenting one's opinion as fact is called suppression.

And if a Scientologist cannot see this, then they are neither a Scientologist nor a spiritual-bound being. They have but one class in life and that is to be a salve. A slave to one's own mental constructs and to the same of others. As the winds blow so too, do they.

Spiritual freedom is stability of being. All else is just pure fantasy.

Another Point

"He _(LRH)_ set himself up as the unquestioned leader to be followed, and no one would be doing things unless he had been the driving force behind them.

Each little indicator and moment of everyone's lives all adds up to the whole sad tragedy of following a single man whose words become unquestioned law, more a lesson in the broader phenomena of coercive and totalitarian groups."

"...whole sad tragedy of following a single man whose words become unquestioned law..."

Why is it that so many people have a problem with someone who helps to point the way and then when they 'get it', even if for only a short time or length, they turn around and disparage the one who helped to make it all happen?

It's like having a bowl of ice cream. It's like having lots of bowls of ice cream and then noticing that one is fat and to turn around and blame the ice cream. "Bad, bad ice cream. Look at what you DID to ME!"

Yeah, LRH was a bad, bad man, wasn't he. He made us all do EVERYTHING.

Might as well say that as a slave we are mad as hell that our reality is not what we think that it should be and so hang the person who got us to even LOOK at it all in the first time. God forbid we should SEE!

Spiritual freedom isn't about power, money, glory or forcing the sun to rise in the West instead of the East. What hypocrisy!

These days, if one doesn't like what is playing on the television set and disagrees with it in some way we never even think about changing the channel. We just go into emotional degradation. That is all that is left for most of us. Playing with our emotional highs and lows, and never even considering the bigger picture.

But of course one cannot see the bigger picture when we place ourselves above it all as if WE are the bigger picture. That's not spiritual freedom, it's Bank freedom. Freedom for the Bank to do as it pleases. Yes, we are indeed slaves to ourselves.

Thankfully, not all.

The sad tragedy is that many times the slave simply wants more comforts and little else. The sad tragedy is that there are more than enough takers when it comes to powering one's way 'up to the top'. The inner shallow urge to become the "Top Dog", the "Big Cheese" is so overpowering that spiritual values become long, long forgotten.

If it wasn't for Mr. Hubbard many of the so-called Scientologists wouldn't have a patsy to pin their irresponsibility onto. When one lacks self responsibility you can be sure that a 'cause' will be found.

Spiritual freedom is about COMPLETE self responsibility. It also is called ethics and when one doesn't have it, one has nothing.

And that is what many of these so-called Scientologists have.

Nothing.

If only the blind could see...
