Looking Every Where Else
In sight we fool ourselves into thinking that reality exists right before our very eyes. In darkness, we seek the light in which illumination can be found. Neither light nor dark are the reality we seek. Turning a blind eye to our outer reality we use our good eye to see within. In this all-seeing eye the inner becomes the outer for all to see. Reflecting upon our fate we train our minds to behave to directed thought ever so hope-full that it will work THIS time. Capturing our attention, thoughts flitter to and fro perpetually in flight. Is chasing rainbows any different?
For He Who Sees, Knows
Chasing our tails, we seem to forever get caught in the whirling vortex of our wake. Thoughts fly in all directions and so do we. Chasing them all, we become scattered and fragmented, lost in the effort. Breaking free is not considered an option as we consider each and every possible recourse in our travels. Beginning with effort we end with effort and then effort vanishes into the night sky. Left to our own devices, will we dive right back in or will our devices come to an end as well. There is no going back and there is no going forward other then in the dreams of our own making. Devising our escape route we plod along thinking that things will work out ‘just so’. Hoping that our freedom will be ensured, we change nothing and so end up with even more ‘hell to pay’ in lives upon life. Breaking the stranglehold of desire, nothing matters for in freeing ourselves we find that freedom is just another concept like all else. Bound by ourselves, we chain ourselves to ourselves and greatly complain when we become…
Better Dog Chow
The only thing that is confidential these days is the ways and means of our own destruction. Hiding in the shadows they will tell you that as you become more initiated you too will gain access to the utmost secrets of the universe. They do not use mystery to entrap, but selfishness and greed. If you pay enough, bow enough, succumb enough, you too can rule over others. This is a promise which has been handed down through the ages as ‘standard fare’.
Taking Note Of Ourselves
As we torment ourselves with problems of every magnitude is it any wonder that we have so little time to devote to freeing ourselves from them. When one problem drops away another quickly steps in to fill our life with the livingness we call ‘hell’. How do we step outside of the view we have of ourselves in order to break that image and free us from the eternal darkness which we hold over ourselves. How do we change our reality to better suit our needs. Imagining life to be one thing or another we constantly strive for one thing or another never taking a moments rest of insight and reflection. Without a momentary pause we become the painting we so fervently desire.
What Are We Waiting For?
Waiting, it is such an interesting game is it not? To hold in suspension everything that exists until such time as we feel that it becomes ‘our’ time. As the clock ticks by, so too, do we. Where is it that we are headed as we hold ourselves in abeyance. How is it that we have checked ourselves out of life in order to center the universe upon our own existence? Do we count for so much as to really believe in ourselves? Or are there other purposes in store for us which we cannot yet fathom?
Fearing The Wolf Devouring Our Souls
Awareness and insight do not come to those who mindlessly bask themselves in the glow of darkness. Surrounding oneself with hegemony feels good to those who hold the reins but make no mistake about it, when one is on the other end of those reins there is nothing but pain and misery. Is it any wonder that the powerful seek power while the lowly class of peasants simply go about their business. Unfortunately, it is not business as usual these days as the open air market has taken on an air of death and destruction. Would this alone scare one into taking control of one’s life? Fear, pictures of ‘what may happen’, can be overwhelming to the undisciplined mind. Not only does the mind create these horror master pieces but it compulsively attaches itself to them. Where is the separation? Are we the banks of information which is the basis of the mind. When we dive into our thoughts we lose ourselves to an unreality called thinking. Contemplating one picture over another does about as much good for one as going to…
Life, Before And After
I haven’t visited the wacky newsgroup alt.clearing.technology in a long, long time. I wouldn’t recommend the newsgroup _to anybody, but I was interested in reading the posts, if any, made by the few people that I know to be actual Scientologists. Anyway, I happened to see the following post. It’s part of a cluster of messages, but this one was enough to take a look at. I am going to post a few comments following this about it. There is a lot that can be commented about but I am going to only hit the ‘holder’.
We are all born and we all die. This is true in both a physical sense and in a characteristic fashion. If one know’s that our current life is nothing but a continuation of our previous ones then it can be surmised that each and every life has a purpose. Or does it? Stringing these lives together creates another purpose. What could that possibly be?
