Mindless Wanderings

Here you will find the most current articles, etc. but to start off, take a look at the Self page as a sort of introduction to and about your self. Look in the mirror and say “Hi”. Then realize that it is you who is looking out at an image that you created of your self and calling it “you”. How funny is that!? You can’t point to your self because you are not a object. All that you can do is realize your own nature. So have at it.

Old Habits Do Die Hard

Tue, 8th Sep 2009 20:27

The once peaceful rolling hills of despair have been turned on it’s ear. No longer are the destitute and dying finding a place to swing their hips to the ever popular dance beat called ‘survive’!. Languishing in self pity the sheep have nary a word to the wise other than the shrill scream of the death plunge off the face of the cliff. Dwindling in sorrow, despair can come to know the bottomless pit of nastiness called the evil that Men do. Facing ourselves in the mirror is never easy but sooner or later we must all come to terms with our nefarious twisted ways, our conniving and devious tactics of waylaying responsibility. When our deeds become righteous no matter the pain and suffering we lay at the feet of one and all it is then that our path has surely moved beyond the sane and into the jungle of perversion.

It is to this day that the path has come full circle.

If one were to kill the messenger then we would all be dead but who would be left to accept our neglect of responsibility? Who would be left to trample under our fleet of foot so calculated and cold? Indeed, who would be left?

There is only us who are left. There is the one and only ‘me’.

Devil Diving

“Good… bad… I’m the guy with the gun.” - Army of Darkness

In goodness there is evil and in evil, there lies goodness. One without the other is like missing a dance partner while shimmying and shaking to the latest dance craze. Two poles, two opposites. In relation we establish rules of the road, of what is good and what is bad. Running from one extreme while embracing the other we tend to get caught up in the emotional turmoil of it all - all in the name of moral authority of course.

Well, there is no moral authority among those who play Duopoly, the game of chance, of blame, shame and regret. As we point our fingers against those who rub us the wrong way we equally point out the fact that we are the missing link looking for nothing else but acknowledgement of our own selfish desires, of our own thoughtless plundering among the sleeping populace. Why not take advantage of the situation, we ask ourselves fully expecting the appropriate justification as we dunk one more witch under the water of lies and deceit.

Scribbling Our Wishes Upon The Universe

Thu, 25th Jun 2009 07:23

The Age of Innocence is rapidly drawing to a close. Leaving the embrace of childish pursuits behind maturity begins to work it’s magic. It’s a maxim that no child is left behind because as children our own temptation requires of us to be self centered to as great a degree as possible. Moving into maturity requires something very foreign of a child and as maturity begins to rub us the wrong way it slowly makes it’s way into our hearts and minds. Something different happens.

Our self-centered nature requires us to be completely consumed within our own little corner of the universe where we are free to obsessively and compulsively act upon each and every whim of our desire. This desire carries us away and in our perpetual Quest of experiential delight we relish each and every opportunity to be consumed by our consumption. What else could ever be possibly grander than the experience of self?

Looking in the mirror we smile with satisfaction relishing the fact that we are able to see ourselves, to experience ourselves to such a grand and glorious degree. What wonder!

Doing The Creation Balance Two-Step

Wed, 27th May 2009 08:28

Creeping slowly upon the sleeping, the unawares, effectual time comes inevitably knocking on our door seeking recompense. Karma in it’s insistence on becoming real nourishes us with it’s delectable delights and yet we always seems to mourn it’s arrival. Swinging both ways it has it’s way with us time and time again. Living the lie, we bed with the best and brightest ensuring that our needs come to be met with the full force of it all. Gazing and enjoying our dream-like state, we slowly move through life and living engaging that which we have no control over as our past (mis)deeds rue the day. Life takes it’s toll and strangely enough we seem to carry our baggage with glee happily moving through life oblivious of not only our own true nature but of the reality which we simply cannot escape. Running on empty we run even further in the hopes and dreams of living the good life. Gazing at the stars, we weep all the while becoming engrossed in the reflection of ourselves upon the canvas of reality which we have already taken great pride in full-filling.

In The Still Of The Night III

Wed, 6th May 2009 08:34

Quietly, silently, mute. The reign of terror slowly comes to an end and what remains then is a silence deafening in it’s display of creation. As all things shout from the very bottom of their being, “I live!” so too does the end of the reign of terror which Man obligingly unleashed upon the destitute and dying. Now that the zombies are being put to bed, what then?

What then will become unleashed upon those poor souls whose only wish is to make it to the next birth alive and if lucky, just a bit less burdened in the baggage department. But that is another chapter due to the print factory at some later date as yet undisclosed.

Along with the therapy of self-reflection along comes a spider to inject it’s prey with but another small dose of nullifying poison. Scrambling for peace can only hasten the poison’s effects until and at long last, the fitful sleep of pain and anguish comes to yet one more close. Though the washing machine plays out each spin cycle with the utmost of disregard, the clothes eventually comes out clean.

Fishing At The Edge Of Time

Tue, 21st Apr 2009 07:02

Coming to the water’s edge we bait the hook to see what will come our way today. Eagerly awaiting the purpose of life we sit for a spell and gaze into the far reaches of our imagination, seeking and yearning for the thing which exists just out of range - just out of the reach of our grasping and clutching hands. As we extend our attention beyond, we travel to the far reaches of space - and beyond.

Eventually we reach the boundaries of our existence and venture no further.

Reaching this stage in our evolutionary process takes a lot of time which of course requires an enormous amount of effort. Fishing is a sport after all and requires the exchange of experience, one upon the other.

Pinpointing our movement, we begin to rearrange the universe to our liking barely realizing that we have already done so. As we stare at the reflections upon the water of life we miss many a fish. It seems that there are much more than simply the one that got away.

As our attention comes to be moved away from our fixation we begin to entertain the thought that life exists every where we are, its shape and form perfectly suited to our own best interests. Interests? What interests could we possibly have other than sitting at the shore dreaming of the big catch of the day or at least conjuring up the glory of the one that got away. In either case it is ourselves that is the catch.

Who Would Have It Any Other Way?

Mon, 13th Apr 2009 07:38

Sneaking up on ourselves we tend to pretend that we are something other than what we really are and in this pretension our foundational sense of being does not go away but becomes muted and reworked into being something completely different. As we separate our selves into the various parts of recognition we come to learn that in the loss of wholeness we become and in this narrow focus of attention we create the life we lead.

Creating a life and death experience in which to full-fill our goal of completion we eke out an existence time and time again ever yearning for complete understanding. Is one to understand the totality in which we find purpose and plan? Can one?

In creating individuality with which to pursue our many adventures we ultimately find that experience comes to take highest precedence. We are because we have created it to be so and in our selfish pride all that we see is me and oh what a beautiful sight are we! Through our own eyes we reign supreme as being the single most important thing in the Universe. Standing firm, we boldly go where no thought has gone before and as we fill up the echo chamber with our noise, we come to find meaning. Hearing ourselves think, our universe becomes populated with all that we desire.

Perfect Union

Thu, 9th Apr 2009 11:11

In order to form a more perfect union what are the means to do so? What tools are available to mortal man which will enable him to overcome his own failings, his own sense of self-importance in order to rise above all else so that the Great Maker can be more fully embraced? What is one to do to move beyond conception and into a realm of reality where good deeds become common as well as noteworthy?

The mind of Man is suffering, of that there can be no doubt and just in case there is all one need do is to sit quite a quiet spell in some quiet place and listen to the presence of the Great Maker. If all that one hears is the roar of one’s own thoughts then the proof becomes self-evident. If all that one hears is the sound of the environment, then the same applies. If all that one hears is that which reaches the ears, then what more perfect bodily union can there be?

Where the spirit meets the flesh it is generally understood that the flesh becomes kind. Where those things of, for or by the body become supremely important then it is to that same degree that distance is created away from the Great Maker.

Watching The Natives Get A Suntan

Of the rise and fall, the victimization of the ruling elite; is there any wonder that these too fall prey to those of greater self-esteem? The ladder does indeed rise above, way above the heads of commoners and elitists alike. Is there such a thing as an hierarchy which defines itself as being beyond the sight of mere mortal man?

Indeed there is and in this Universe of glory and glee there exists so much more than appearance, deception and greed.

Make no mistake, greed takes a number of forms in order to work it’s ‘magic’ upon the asleep and destitute but that doesn’t mean that one should bite into the apple of knowledge in order to live a full and complete life - a life experience where our busy little minds are sure to keep us occupied and ‘trouble-free’. If only there was such a thing.

Coming to terms with our own selfish endeavors requires one to be awake and aware of what the heck we are doing to both ourselves, and to the world at large. You see, occupation is so much more than just a state of mind. Given enough rope to hang ourselves we glorify in occupation both internally and externally. In seeing the world we work quite diligently to remake it into our own image of what we are. “Mirror, mirror upon the wall, is it not true that it is ‘I’ who is most fair and above all.”

Cycles Of Action

While undergoing the process of movie making a director will declare, from time to time, the word ‘action!’ to denote the start of reproduction and after another time period, ‘cut!’ to declare the end of union. All actors then go about their own business. From start to finish all are on display in their finest dress.

From start to finish the cycle is painfully born, borne out and then dies a certain death. From start to finish purpose, plan and action are undertaken and full-filled. Destiny becomes satiated and so lingers no more.

All action follows the same steps - from start to finish the tale weaves it’s way and becomes no more. Life and living creates cycles of action and when these cycles come to be completed life endures no more.

Any yet spiritually, life continues to ‘evolve’. From one doorstep to the next, we enter new abodes of worship seeking to create another life, another way of living. Eking out an existence, we come to be and relish perpetuity.

But what of the in between? What of the moment between moments where nothing of the sort occurs? Or does it?

In The Still Of The Night II

When we become emboldened in self righteousness our egotistical well being becomes enormously enhanced. What glory! What power! What ridiculousness!

Change is upon us.

Many times the hope-full seek to relegate change to the future - to some future time where preparation and expectation will serve us well and for the fool this tactic works well but for the sovereign individual the loss in battle becomes more than obvious. The battle for Man’s mind has been underway for quite some time. For a seeming eternity there have been those who wish to ‘rise above’, to dominate the landscape of our reality in order to become god. In the thirst of battle loss has already been claimed for how else is the urge for dominance to come into being?

One does not seek to acquire that which one has not lost.

But in the still of the night the thief comes like the ill wind of death and destruction seeking and wreaking havoc in order to prey upon the established lines of the food chain. Who is it that so decides one’s place in the universe? Who is it that bequeaths us our just place in life? Who is it that expects the rewards, convincing us to partake of our rightful place upon the chessboard of experience? Who is it?

Forgetting The Way

Mankind has been embodied for quite some time now. To be more precise, Mankind has been embodied for a very, very long time now. I suppose that some games are more interesting to play than others but in order to get to the bottom line one must suppose that enough is enough.

Out of creation Mankind has come. How and why presupposes that one contains the innate ability to understand those things which lies beyond the scope of perception - which of course is simply not the case. It would be like to trying to understand the nature and processes involved in ‘being’ the opposite sex - or even no sex at all. In order to fully understand that nature one must become it. Sure, there are plenty of people who attempt to cross that bridge but the body one inhabits at birth is as it is and despite all the measures in the universe undertaken to circumvent that solidity, it is inescapable. So when one embraces some particular beingness it becomes all that there is.

So how is one to ‘see’ beyond all that there is? How is one to move beyond the obviously limited scope, depth and breath of one’s being? The answer is simple. One cannot ‘move beyond’ one’s self. One cannot metamorphosis from one beingness to another while under the spell of the same. An actor can portray many characters but they all take root from the actor’s basis of being - at least in the current context.

You Are, Therefore, I Am

Well, it’s been quite some time since the last posting was made to this website. Time has a way of wending it’s way forward, many times in complete defiance of known and established expectations - our own sense of what the Universe is and how it operates. But that is besides the point being made. Well, just barely.

It has been made known that in reaching and withdrawing the cycle of action perpetuates a stillness that is easily interpreted as peace and quiet. This cycle of self-reflection provides a means and way of taking all into context and allowing one’s self to stay the course. For those who embrace the never ending ‘reach’, the Universe just goes on and on…

Somewhere along the way the end of ‘reach’ must be acknowledged and in this acknowledgement lies the uncovering of purpose and plan. We all contain purpose and plan but for most the veil of ignorance becomes some thing of great value, of great worth in thought, word and deed. It is what tends to keep us alive.

But what happens when the ‘reach’ ends? What happens when that which we seek becomes revealed to us as being already established within us but through our own devices, kept in the dark?

Yes, it is true. Our nature is the entirety of existence, for we make it so.

Grounding In The Basis Of Life

Thu, 29th Jan 2009 05:28

Grounding ourselves to the physical universe, we create the life envisioned for ourselves - jumping with joy at the delight of such. Our endeavors entrap us in it’s arms and sweep us away to far-off lands enticed with exotic adventures never before experienced. The sales department must have been working overtime and like the good cattle we are, we follow the tried and true path to the barn door of whatever it is that we are being led to believe.

Grounded in perception, we see the life we lead as not being our own as who in their right mind would ever acquiesce to such pain and suffering such as the common man endures. Endure we must and so we take up the mantle of disbelief and live in hopes of despair. Though the horror of it all soon becomes unbearable we stand up to the challenge and boast of our true blood. We are the king of kings!

Wrapped in self reflection we embrace our roles to be ‘unique’. We alone are and all else not. In such reversal we find refuge from the storm of truth keeping at bay the inevitable for just a little while longer. Hanging on to hope we yearn for the future and gladly leave the present to those who fancy their ideals as being the only way to go. Since all roads lead to Rome why not take the scenic route my friend?
