A Comment About Commenting
A change has been made in the way that comments are handled. Because of this change there is no longer a need for the Guest Book, so that has been stuffed into Davey Jonse’s locker to await another time, another place. The same fate has befallen the rest of the entries that were to be found in the Comm Center. “Alas Yurick, I am no more.”
Except for Mikey’s Corner which has been moved into the Info section. It’s in that section just because I don’t have a clue as to where it should really go. So if your name is Mikey and you are looking for your entries, go there and gaze upon achievement.
A comment can now be left for all pages that contain something other than the index and such. Comment moderation is on so that those comments that belong to the aforementioned locker can fulfill their purpose in life. Back in the days when there was a forum on fza.org there was no shortage of a cast of characters who would take great pride and glee in having their moment in history, of striving for a walk in the limelight, but now that history has moved on to other grazing pastures all is well. Yes, all is quite well indeed.
Feel free to comment upon what it is that needs commenting upon but please do realize that a response from me will most likely appear no-where since there is no great proclivity in having my person comment about comments which have to do with something I had already said. Whew!
I still do email though so if there is some need which requires a considered response do send it along to comm@gathering-minds.net. That’s a good email address for communication don’t you think?
The nice thing about commenting is that it gives one a moment for self reflection. This moment in time requires one to look at some particular thing and to investigate as to how that thing relates to one’s self. This thing, that thing, differences and similarities. Leaving a comment is not about glorifying one’s position and positions but perhaps it is more about the investigation into one’s own machinations, of the things that go whiz and whir in one’s mind. In awareness our expression of thoughts, experiences and revelations can help solidify the same and perhaps provide an opportunity to move beyond our own viewpoint into something that exists far beyond our mental grasp, something which we would have never even considered possible previously.
Into that great beyond of unconsidered possibilities is where the opportunity for comments has arisen.
Not too shabby if you ask me. :-)
