Other Times, Other Places In Motion

03 Dec 2007

The section “Other Times, Other Places” has been moved to the fza.org website. The information in that section is no different than what can be found here on Gathering Minds but since it originally sourced at fza.org there it returns. It’s not the appearance, it’s the message.

Pointedly Obscure

16 Oct 2007

It is true that this web site is quite obscure. The verse is obtuse and the cacophonous display of seemingly irrelevant and irreverent terms and ideas can be like the fingernails upon the chalkboard. Yes, the mind can be a wonderfully annoying entity seemingly bent upon nothing but it’s own self aggrandizement.

So how does one wend their way through the battle-zone of thoughts, ideas and concepts in order to arrive at the one who is in charge of this morass of baggage? The trials and tribulations of such endeavors has created a plethora of rules, regulations, organizations and other such thrill-seekers. In this chess game of skill, mortal living has come to reflect the preponderance of ideological love-making embraced and enforced for but the “common good”. Cattle are quite common and do taste good! Unless, of course, one is not in the business of devouring animals in the name of “sustenance”.

This day and age requires that we sustain ourselves through the trial and torment of others. In this way, our sense of self worth is allowed to reach it’s pinnacle of greatness. But this is not correct thinking. In place of exhibiting our greatness we demonstrate our lack. One need not strive to the position of being at the top of the food chain unless the emptiness within motivates such action. Action is the outward demonstration of our inner desires. What do your actions say about you?

If one deems another to be ‘wrong’, then one has already doomed oneself to be so.

Pondering The Unfathomable

Here is an entry to demonstrate that time passes and so do we. Among the plenitude of our experience there remains one final push into the reality we most fear - death. Whether the scythe cuts one this pass or the next, all that we can claim with conviction is that indeed, it does cut and we become laid to rest. So what is the point of evolution then? What becomes of the nurturing nature of expanding awareness? Questions, by their design perpetuate one’s desire of reaching into an unknown which has been gleefully created for us, by us. Enjoyment knows no bounds like our spirit of play!

This website has yet again been altered to present the same old stuff, dressed to kill, in yet another fashionable guise. So why bother even reading this superfluous characterization of belief? I ponder the wonder of it all and declare in full jest: “What time did you say it was?”

All moments have their time and since time consists of nothing but, here is the moment to contemplate. Go ahead, take it. How about now? Endurance as a quality of life continues to persist as we reap our experience and wear our very best sun glasses so that the end of the line cannot be seen so quickly and most obviously.

Before the point becomes unbearable please be sure to pass it all by relegating the chaff to where it belongs - momentary creationism of the finest grade. Yes, we do perpetuate ourselves quite nicely, do we not?

Would the last one out please turn off the lights.

Philosophical Conjuring

05 Mar 2007

It is recognized that a lot of visitors who come here arrive through various links and such on the Internet via the Free Zone America (fza.org) domain name. Currently that domain is being redirected to the Other Times, Other Places section of Gathering Minds. Eventually, this redirection, and most likely the associated data, will be eliminated. This will have a negative impact on web site statistics but since there is zero interest in quantification here, who cares!

Most of what occurs out and away on the Internet involves seeking and searching for one thing or another to possess. This folly of great magnitude creates a narrow and hugely limited focus of attention. Don’t get me wrong as a narrow and limited focus of attention can be a blessing in determining subtle differences and similarities but unfortunately the fza.org domain is typically associated with that focus in a detrimental fashion. Therefore, that domain and it’s associated material is of little to no use at all in helping to bring the ship about and head it in the right direction. For most, their ship is simply stuck out on the ocean of experience and there it remains, pounded against the rocks of cause and effect.

That is not something which should be encouraged — at all.

Pictures Of The Beast

08 Feb 2007

Unfortunately for show biz, there will be very little in the way of entertaining content here on this web site. Lovely pictures to induce one to imagine lovely thoughts and feelings will not be found here. Musical notes to send one to faraway galaxies to bask in the glorious feeling of being alive will also be non-existent. Fun and enticing content to draw in the visitor so as to seek and retain visitor traffic is also dismissed out of hand(1).

Even though all that is found here can be considered in the light of entertainment there is a remarkable difference between show business and the urge to overcome oneself in the pursuit of what lies beyond. Where our attention is set, there it produces results.

There are plenty of shining beacons out in the spotlight dancing the latest and the greatest. If one wishes for such entertainment please close the door right now and leave this abode, there will be nothing of value or purpose to be found here as everything here goes against the grain. For a safe and comfortable existence, for an existence where the view of yourself is of utmost and invaluable importance, then you will be much better served to slide on right out the door to other more suitable environs.

For those who can embrace and actually take to heart their own sense of beingness then it will be found that life will shortly outlive it’s usefulness and that is exactly the fine line where this web site takes stock.
