I can't believe this site exists. I'm a blown member of two years. I blew because in nearly two years of the fifty hours of Dianetics, I've received only five. Every time I made an appointment and turned up for a session the auditor either, hadn't been booked, hadn't turned up, phoned in sick or was so late that I was too angry or tired to go into session. But I kept going because I wanted auditing more than anything else in the world. But eventually realised after a very scary Scientology conference, that money is a big issue and seems to overtake the real issue - helping and clearing people. During my time in the org I'd read many wonderfully inspirational books, did a few courses (that I'm still paying for), and met some really amazing people that I still admire, miss and still think about regularly. After reading Dianetics in 1996, I studied Scientology in Phoenix for a year and a half. I didn't even make it to the Bridge before I left (blew), but I was very excited about what I was learning there. I was not, however, excited about the focus on money nor about being handled and routed with money being the end result instead of my spiritual growth. I initially visited the church because I wanted to be audited and I wanted to learn to audit others. I got neither. I was constantly routed away from the former and the latter was expensive and seemed almost unattainable. I stopped looking up Scientology on the internet not long after I left because the information I found (other than www.scientology.org) was very upsetting. It was hard for me to swallow the idea that something that had made so much sense to me and had offered so much help could be evil. There seemed to be no reconciliation of the two. Until NOW. Having visited your site here and a couple of others, I'm relieved to see that I was not crazy - the tech works and continues to work as I suspected and hoped. It's the money-grubbing, paranoid behavior of the church's political system that prompted me to abandon it. I still receive mailings from the org in Phoenix and from Flag. My deeply held belief in the workability of the tech kept me from asking to be removed from their mailing list. Up until now, I've mostly just glanced at them and thrown them away. In 1980 I was able to read all the tech pubs,through 1978, thanks to a friend,who had been kicked out of Clearwater,FL for mixing practices. This may not be new to some. It appears that there are separate types of entities which have been given various purposes, goals or intentions some of which we restimulate in each other automatically depending on what dynamic or concepts we are restimulating. (see pilots SUPER-SCIO) I also suspect that all people may have specific entities to kick in when mentioning the subject of Scientology or things of that nature. I recall many 'wogs' when mentioning the subject of Scientology reacting all out of proportion to the comment or consideration mentioned. Some of these were some VERY CLOSE friends, they seemed to have the most VIOLENT reactions. Of course, I knew NOTHING of this at the time. I was simply bewildered at the response. ONly when one has become sufficiently OT enough to handle their own then they can easily handle those 'on' others cases. It is more akin to having enough settled space. THey seem to react like 'pin-ball machines' and the result/effects they can be probably far reaching. I have also spotted that some spaces themselves can hold masses or areas of charge as a location - while in session I would consider the location of the local org - I got a 'pop' (lfbd f/n too) One final thought/observation, the Admin scale - it seems that all life forms have admin scales running whether you put the items there or not -all living things will have a goal, purpose, policy, plan etc and these things are there - so it may behoove one to take a moment and put proper things in those slots or end up with something on a sort of automatic level, a DEFAULT ADMIN SCALE. ---- Some 'symbols' I have encountered: The RTC symbol that looks like a shield with the lightening bolts around it. I saw the symbol and then I realized that it looked so much like the RTC symbol that they must be using it specifically... It seems to give them more 'power'. A lions head with a Mane that appears to be alive with motion. This one constantly 'used' on us in the CofS, At Flag on the PRO TRS course, I had to watch the TRS film EVERY SINGLE DAY and every Day that film started with an AD for TRAINING and there would be these drums playing and talk about the jungle and here comes this LION running at the viewer... You don't suppose that some ones are using these on purpose to restimulate? Further thoughts: How about that 'survivor series' which is supposed to be such a big hit in America? Maybe that is why 'hollywood' is getting so interested in the subject or the subject is being 'sold' secretly to some in HOllywierd' covertly to show them how to use it in programming to boost ratings? that clearly violates the auditors/scientologist code not to use Scientology for advertising. Some ones using those symbols for its restimulation value? I know that the old book covers were supposed to have these R6 symbols with RONS approval so its not new. I am finishing my Success Through Communication course, but what I have enjoyed most are the books. They are totally in line with my own personal views of spirituality, past lives, etc., etc. and this drew me into investigating more about Scn. Having grown up in Clearwater, I have been acutely aware of Scn's presence, but knew nothing about it. My first impressions were all positive, but had my boyfriend not mentioned the negative PR that was available on the web, I would not have looked into it. I am glad that I did. I am at odds right now...I believe in the tech that I have experienced and have heard about, but do not believe in all the policies, politic'g, etc. that goes on. I want to share in my 2D's wins and have wins of my own, but I am fearful of his future involvement should he want to go 'up the bridge'. I have read too much bizarre stuff about the OT levels. I hope that someone can advise me of how I can stay with him, support him, grow and learn myself, without having to get "sucked in". Please send me some advice. I am desperate. Flames, insults, and personal attacks will not be tolerated. It's fine to disagree strongly with opinions, ideas, and facts, but always with respect for the other person. Great minds do not always think alike, and that's where the fun is! Also, note that messages express the thoughts of the writers, not the board or its moderators. I wonder who put them there! It couldn't have been our present Webmaster as he allows any old obscene language, doesn't seem to mind (possibly gets a kick out of) flaming, ignores insults and tolerates personal attacks. If I were not involved in a private conflict of interest with the Wiltshire Boulevard lawyers of the C of $, I would use that Domain name and start a discussion board on the subject for which this one was designed by Paul Missunias. However, at the moment, I am leaving the DianeticClearing.Org site "under construction" so - at least the Cof $'s fancy lawyers cannot claim that I am using a similar name to promote the activities of my center in the making. (You can check in later to see whether or not the site has been made active - I am right now in the middle of giving the C of S my final answer - so stay tunes!) Later, when I have established a safe, secluded place and have some staff to back me up (they're on their way) I will be in a position to either make use of this Domain name (so chosen to attract staffmembers who are looking for a valid (non Squirrel) alternative as they still want to "go Clear"), or to add my WebPages to an alternative Domain name. Then, perhaps, properly monitored, we might get somewhere in weeding out the wheat from the chaff. Right now, the "chaff" is piling up so high that one can hardly find any wheat anymore. At least with the IP's posted we had to come out into the open and it prevented certain people from using another's handle, thereby causing even more confusion and third partying the heck out of those who are more honest. I have always recommended for everyone to post under their real names; doing anything less than that just shows that: Either the person concerned would NEVER dare to speak to another when speaking face-to-face and feels he can get away with breaking every rule under the Netiquette sun, or They are soooo afraid of the big bad church that they hide in their little closets. I even had fellow who was on his way to WA state to join staff, turn back as soon as he saw that I was standing up for my right (and the right of all independents) to use the name Dianetic. He got cold feet, turned around and went back home to Mommy. When questioned as to his actions, he confessed that he felt the Church wasn't really as bad as it was made out to be, that many reports were false, etc., showing me that he had swallowed the dead-agenting from either his Ethics Officer in his local mission, or from another OSA terminal. When he told me that he would be back when everything quietened down, I told him that he would not be welcome here; that in my center there's no room for COWARDS. So, Skippy, if you're reading this, I suggest you go back to your long distance trucking job. Perhaps after you've been on the road for a couple of years you may have saved up enough money to buy yet another intensive that you can then spent on being sec checked regarding your dealings with me and your participation on this board. I am pleased to say though that he won't be missed! I now have other staff joining me as soon as the new premises for the center are ready, which are dedicated to help me (and my Clearing Practitioners and Supervisors, deliver a sound product at affordable prices, based on LRH's tech. Then there are a few who do not believe in the Tech and attack it, or those who are still sitting in heavy BPC stemming from traumatic incidents they were exposed to while on staff. Nevertheless, you will find that the great majority posting here are genuinly interested to preserve the Tech and (possibly) save it from being destroyed by the Alter-Is of David Miscavige, the current leader of the movement.
