Constantly arranging and re-arranging our outlooks, our views upon the world, creates a never ending fantasy called living life. There is no end to what we can imagine and experience. Thought, by it's very nature, has no ending and therefore we are for ever wedded to the idea of spiritual freedom, or more precisely, escaping our thoughts.
But thought can, and does, come to an end. In that end we no longer become subjected to random concepts, errant thoughts and outlandish ideas. Beyond our imaginings lies Reality and it is in this Reality to which this web site devotes it's attention.
One cannot escape thoughts for in escaping we merely choose one thought to uphold over another. So how does one embody Reality without using thoughts to attain it? In a word - impossible, but instead of fear we use courage to stand and face our thoughts, ideas and concepts and thereby come to see their origin - all without preconceived notions of states of attainment, degrees of accomplishment nor praiseworthy standards of conduct. None of these ideas succeed in their efforts of achievement and so they are discarded whole-heartedly.
What is not discarded is the constant attention given to the origin of thought. Where do thoughts come from? How are they formed? Where does the idea come from which I uphold as being 'my-self'? Who am I? Whence am I?
Finding oneself is like looking for a needle in the haystack called the mind and so we look elsewhere.
This web site addresses the Reality we call one's Self, not the ideas we have of ourselves or others, not the experiences we seek to fullfill those ideas, but the plain and simply truth of the matter - one's Self.
There could not possibly be anything more near and dear to us than that.
Look no further, seek ye no more. The answer lies within.
