There are no convoluted methods, procedures or rules and regulations to follow nor is there any such personality in which our minds can find competition with. This web site is for informational purposes only.

The information presented here has been gathered from various places and brought together in one place so as to present a glimpse of our own Self. There is no greater freedom than being free of our own selves. Strange, but true.

This web site does not engage in commerce nor does it seek to enforce thinking of any type upon anyone. The aim here is a simple one, although some find it to be a difficult one. Investigating Ourselves leads us to realizing Ourselves.

When one comes to know of Oneself all else pales in a comparison that can not take place.

This web site contains information on, about and relating to Self (Atma) inquiry, or investigation (Vichara), as presented by Sri Ramana Maharshi and so many others both before and after.

As there are very, very few beings who are a living embodiment of Self Realization we must, in the face of a lack of alternatives, apply ourselves through reading, studying and performing those actions which are referred to as being the most helpful in seeking, and finding, our own true Nature.

Whether the Quest is undertaken through Self-inquiry or devotion, there is but one goal - the full and complete realization of the Self.

On this web site the words of Sri Ramana Maharshi are relied upon a great deal as a source of Truth and Inspiration.

What better way to attain any thing than to start with ourselves. We must come to know and understand who and what we are before we can even begin to tackle any other invention of thought. And when we begin to realize that the image we uphold as being ourselves is nothing but another invention of the mind, perhaps we will then begin to ask the right question: Who am I?

No one can tell you what it is. No one can give you the experience of it. No one can make it easy for you to come to know it. In order to actually find out, we must investigation ourselves and put forth the effort to find out.

If we cannot know Ourselves then we can only begin to guess at the meaning of both our lives and life in general. In order to avoid the primary error of ignorance which defines and colors our world, we must dedicate all our efforts to finding out, to the fullest extent, who we really are.

Why is it so easy for many people to spend years and years of effort to achieve greater stations in life and yet fail in their efforts of spending even a few moments each day in self-inquiry. If one does not know oneself how will it ever be possible to get any where or do any thing which is right and truthful? It seems a bit ridiculous to want to achieve so much in life without fully knowing who or what One really is.

Doesn't it make sense to build upon a strong and firm foundation instead of pretending that it doesn't exist at all?
