There Is A Time And There Is A Place

In every age I come back
To deliver the holy,
To destroy the sin of the sinner,
To establish righteousness.
When goodness grows weak
When evil increases
I make myself a body.

The Bhagavad Gita

This is the entry page for the website where all things come together so as to make looking a tad bit easier. But the goal here is not one of looking but of seeing. Feel free to browse around but please take your time as realization sometimes takes a while to really sink in - especially when we busy ourselves fighting it by being in a hurry to get through life and living. What’s the rush!?

Also, be sure to read the basis of illumination.

Crash Test Dummies

Tue, 19th Jan 2010 05:48

They have a life of their own. Just sitting there until being put to use, the life they lead is not their own. That is their life - waiting to be made use of which in and of itself is not necessarily a negative but in this case it certainly is. Man is their god and by thus accepting such their lives become full-filled, just like their cousins who walk in flesh.

When one becomes full-filled there is nothing left to achieve or desire. No compulsion is nurtured to become something or another but until that point is reached we endure our roles as making the world just a tad safer by being placed in danger.

Yes, that is the dichotomy of Man. By placing one’s self in danger peace is assured but it is never a peace for ourselves for the puppet masters care only for their toys to the extent that they are considered ‘use-full’. The will of Man contains gaping holes through which is poured the dreams of other Men. Dreaming the dream of life and death Man resoundingly chooses living the life of pain and sorrow. The weary know not of rest.

A Note About Commenting

Tue, 29th Dec 2009 10:53

On the pages that provide for commenting you may submit your own as you wish either as a registered user (when activated) or as a guest. All comments submitted by guests are moderated so that Gathering Minds can continue to be the focused website that it is. Registered users, depending upon their own good will, may or may not have their comments moderated. The interest here is not in commenting but upon understanding. It may appear that vocalization in the form of comments is required in order to gain understanding but this is only an apparency used to solidify one’s own viewpoint.

A viewpoint is nothing but a point from which one views.

Consider it as a vista point where one pulls the car off the highway in order to take in the grand spectacle of nature. Drinking in the view we then get in our car and take it with us whenever and where ever we go. Some views we embrace so strongly that it becomes of our own makeup or character - our sense of beingness becomes changed as our mental mechanism reinvents the wheel in it’s desire to quantify and qualify everything. But that is not us and that is not the direction from which comments are provided for.

Gathering Minds V3

Mon, 16th Nov 2009 08:32
last updated: Mon, 28th Dec 2009 12:04

Yes, it’s true.

Another version for another time and another place.

This version comes about to fulfill the goal of moving away from web site development and shuffling off to focus more intently upon the meaning and purpose of life and living (insert tongue-in-cheek here). The nice thing about using canned software to run a website is that an enormous amount of time and energy is no longer spent upon keeping the machine alive and kicking. The downside of this is that the website must follow very specific guidelines in it’s operation. Sure, the presentation may appear unique but underlying it all is the rubber stamp of ‘follow orders’. In spite of this lack of freedom the merits do, at this time, outweigh the notion of blazing new paths for the very few who actually like bush-wacking. Now it’s more a matter of “never mind the context, pay attention to the meaning”.

I like that.

The Truth of Today

Sun, 15th Aug 1999 07:00
last updated: Fri, 23rd Oct 2009 08:27

The truth of today is but the darkness of tomorrow. Seeking the light, we yearn to be free of the truth of our forefathers i much the same way that are progeny shall rid themselves of the wisdom of the ages.

The wisdom that was hard fought is the truth that came at a price out of comparison to the rewards in which it was cloaked. Truth and wisdom each contain their own descendants of evil, but in reality truth is only the small sum of our hopes and dream encompassed on a far greater scale. The scale of life is the scale of a fictitious truth.

The play and the players both coalesce into the experience of the moment and the pain of yesterday as well as the fears of tomorrow. All come true as truth is not always that which is sought, but which may arrive of it’s own accord. Believability is a far cry of a moralistic approach.

Lurking and seeking the wisdom whose existence has been promised to us all at one time or another, if a fable come true. The sought rewards may indeed arrive, but the wisdom, in most cases, is entirely neglected.

Breath the life of truth and wisdom plummets to your doorstep, empowering all that it seeks. Life is for the living and though it’s pleasantry may be unaccustomed, it’s purpose reveals so much more.

Old Habits Do Die Hard

Tue, 8th Sep 2009 20:27

The once peaceful rolling hills of despair have been turned on it’s ear. No longer are the destitute and dying finding a place to swing their hips to the ever popular dance beat called ‘survive’!. Languishing in self pity the sheep have nary a word to the wise other than the shrill scream of the death plunge off the face of the cliff. Dwindling in sorrow, despair can come to know the bottomless pit of nastiness called the evil that Men do. Facing ourselves in the mirror is never easy but sooner or later we must all come to terms with our nefarious twisted ways, our conniving and devious tactics of waylaying responsibility. When our deeds become righteous no matter the pain and suffering we lay at the feet of one and all it is then that our path has surely moved beyond the sane and into the jungle of perversion.

It is to this day that the path has come full circle.

If one were to kill the messenger then we would all be dead but who would be left to accept our neglect of responsibility? Who would be left to trample under our fleet of foot so calculated and cold? Indeed, who would be left?

There is only us who are left. There is the one and only ‘me’.

Organizational Discombobulation

Wed, 19th Aug 2009 06:44

Organizations love organization. Everything must be ‘just so’, all in their proper place. Predictably, it becomes all very much predictable. *yawn*

There are a number of weaknesses inherent in the organization structure. There is just no way around it, these weaknesses create vast gaping holes which provide ample opportunity for the organization to self-implode, to go up in smoke. The followers as well as the provincial authority both become glorified with their own place in the universe - as they see it. Covered eyes do not see and so walking among the dead is a task easily accomplished along with the effected changes.

Sometimes, when those of mind-altering self-appreciative tendencies are left to stand alone they tend to fall alone. You can’t offer up a suitable scapegoat when ‘power’ has been condensed unto a personality. The target becomes naked and bare. This is like saying that truth will prevail but truth actually never does, it just is.

Devil Diving

Tue, 18th Aug 2009 08:28

“Good… bad… I’m the guy with the gun.” - Army of Darkness

In goodness there is evil and in evil, there lies goodness. One without the other is like missing a dance partner while shimmying and shaking to the latest dance craze. Two poles, two opposites. In relation we establish rules of the road, of what is good and what is bad. Running from one extreme while embracing the other we tend to get caught up in the emotional turmoil of it all - all in the name of moral authority of course.

Well, there is no moral authority among those who play Duopoly, the game of chance, of blame, shame and regret. As we point our fingers against those who rub us the wrong way we equally point out the fact that we are the missing link looking for nothing else but acknowledgement of our own selfish desires, of our own thoughtless plundering among the sleeping populace. Why not take advantage of the situation, we ask ourselves fully expecting the appropriate justification as we dunk one more witch under the water of lies and deceit.

Here And No-Where Else

Mon, 17th Aug 2009 08:05

I’ve made it known about my disconnection with the various power positions that are going on and the reasons for that. Sometimes even the big boys require an alternate perspective, one which lies outside the boundaries of safety and the big easy chair. What happens after that is up to the ole cause and effect. It’s not just a matter of what “comes around goes around” but more a matter of doing that which is right - not a matter of what one may think is right, but doing that which brings about balance in a world, universe or dimension gone mad. ( Madness can be defined as that which is removed from balance or harmony. In a dynamically aligned perspective this thread is what keeps beingness from falling into the pit of self-gazing called the dwindling spiral of becoming. The further one travels down this avenue of pain and suffering, the further one delves into madness and the only way out of it is to either succumb to it’s charm wholly and completely or to turn the tide and swim back home. Either way it’s a struggle but the whole purpose of being unbalanced is to bring about the experience of native state. Too bad one cannot experience that which one is but the sacrificial play of being on stage for all to see is most enticing. )

Balance continues to be brought to bear but the sublime is not always easy to see when one is caught up in the rapture of one’s own experience. How marvelous we are, are we not?

Well, that marvel can use a bit ‘o shine as the facade is clearly showing signs of distress.

Scribbling Our Wishes Upon The Universe

Thu, 25th Jun 2009 07:23

The Age of Innocence is rapidly drawing to a close. Leaving the embrace of childish pursuits behind maturity begins to work it’s magic. It’s a maxim that no child is left behind because as children our own temptation requires of us to be self centered to as great a degree as possible. Moving into maturity requires something very foreign of a child and as maturity begins to rub us the wrong way it slowly makes it’s way into our hearts and minds. Something different happens.

Our self-centered nature requires us to be completely consumed within our own little corner of the universe where we are free to obsessively and compulsively act upon each and every whim of our desire. This desire carries us away and in our perpetual Quest of experiential delight we relish each and every opportunity to be consumed by our consumption. What else could ever be possibly grander than the experience of self?

Looking in the mirror we smile with satisfaction relishing the fact that we are able to see ourselves, to experience ourselves to such a grand and glorious degree. What wonder!

What's It All About?

Mon, 30th Mar 2009 08:42
last updated: Sat, 13th Jun 2009 11:37

There have been a few changes made to this website recently but that is nothing unusual. Things do change and about the only recourse we have is to swim with the tide - or fight against it.

Swimming with the tide doesn’t mean going along for the ride or doing as the herd does, what it means is to determine one’s own true course through this Universe, Sometimes this means that one will swim with the tide - or to be harmonious with the Universe, and at other times we require ourselves to stand firm with conviction. In this interplay of reach and withdraw we come to learn a great many things.

But that only happens when we are free of fixation.

Doing The Creation Balance Two-Step

Wed, 27th May 2009 08:28

Creeping slowly upon the sleeping, the unawares, effectual time comes inevitably knocking on our door seeking recompense. Karma in it’s insistence on becoming real nourishes us with it’s delectable delights and yet we always seems to mourn it’s arrival. Swinging both ways it has it’s way with us time and time again. Living the lie, we bed with the best and brightest ensuring that our needs come to be met with the full force of it all. Gazing and enjoying our dream-like state, we slowly move through life and living engaging that which we have no control over as our past (mis)deeds rue the day. Life takes it’s toll and strangely enough we seem to carry our baggage with glee happily moving through life oblivious of not only our own true nature but of the reality which we simply cannot escape. Running on empty we run even further in the hopes and dreams of living the good life. Gazing at the stars, we weep all the while becoming engrossed in the reflection of ourselves upon the canvas of reality which we have already taken great pride in full-filling.

So where does this tempting tale of woe, of pain and suffering take us? Is there more to life and living than just the emotional turmoil we seem to be forever engaged in? Why is it that we seem to concentrate so diligently upon the scales of justice which have swung so far away from our foundational being and into the stratospheric realms of ‘cause and effect’? Why do we concentrate upon the urgent need to have the scale swing the other way towards a happiness which has a reality only in relation to our own personal suffering? Swinging to and fro the scales vibrate with empathy in complete harmony to our ‘state of mind’. We create the world in our own image and immediately turn around to relinquish responsibility so that perpetuity may result. Running, we are sure to compel the tiger to chase us. Running from ourselves certainly is good exercise but what’s the point?

In The Still Of The Night III

Wed, 6th May 2009 08:34

Quietly, silently, mute. The reign of terror slowly comes to an end and what remains then is a silence deafening in it’s display of creation. As all things shout from the very bottom of their being, “I live!” so too does the end of the reign of terror which Man obligingly unleashed upon the destitute and dying. Now that the zombies are being put to bed, what then?

What then will become unleashed upon those poor souls whose only wish is to make it to the next birth alive and if lucky, just a bit less burdened in the baggage department. But that is another chapter due to the print factory at some later date as yet undisclosed.

Along with the therapy of self-reflection along comes a spider to inject it’s prey with but another small dose of nullifying poison. Scrambling for peace can only hasten the poison’s effects until and at long last, the fitful sleep of pain and anguish comes to yet one more close. Though the washing machine plays out each spin cycle with the utmost of disregard, the clothes eventually comes out clean.

Clarifying The Obtuse

Thu, 23rd Apr 2009 11:48

There are a number of articles and such on this web-site which address the subject and philosophy of the religion called Scientology. There are also a number of articles which address spirituality in a different form. In all cases, through whatever device employed, the purpose of these articles and posts is to address that which lies before the one who reads them.

The religion of Scientology as expressed here is much, much different than the one currently being espoused to the general public by a church gone bad. Yuck. What is expressed here is also so very different from that being pushed and shoved this way and that by the various off-shoots of the Scientology philosophy. I care for none of that nor for those who follow some twisted self-serving path to glory. Double yuck. It doesn’t matter what religion or philosophy one chooses because they are all filled with self-serving mental cases looking for a good time. That sounds pretty harsh but in context it stating the obvious.

There are lot and lots of ways and means, of people and organizations more than willing to take one’s money for a good journey down the beaten path of entertainment. This is not to say that the various paths are completely worthless because in this universe there is something for everyone - it’s your choice and I certainly would not take that away from you. Take what path you choose and good luck to you!

You Can Run But You Can't Hide

Thu, 23rd Apr 2009 11:07

Scientology is quite the interesting subject. It not only contains pitfalls and deathtraps which were newly created by the taken-over church, but it also contains an absolutely wonderful array of tools, tips and techniques for one’s spiritual growth. Personally, there is no attachment to any particular philosophy, religion or way of life but there is a great deal of interest in that which mirrors the truth of my own being. Scientology became a part of that truth a number of years ago and yet today it still has the potential and the ability to excite the harmonic tuning fork of truth. It rings and rings quite loudly along with the echoing vibratory effects which seems to bowl over whatever it is that comes before it.

But that is only for those whose awareness makes it so.

During a bout of administrative duties an article came up which brought the above to light - once again. It describes an aspect of spiritual behavior quite nicely which deals with the almost ‘natural’ ability of a spiritual being to run away or hide.

Pretending that something doesn’t exist gives it perpetuity by feeding it energy in order to make it non-existent. That sounds quite strange but in fact non-existence requires the absence of energy. In pretending that something doesn’t exist we must first give it substance and that can only be accomplished by feeding it energy. It’s called “Feeding the Beast”.
